Data Protection Statement

 

Personal data (mostly referred to as ‘data’ hereinafter) will only be processed by us to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website including its contents and services offered. 

According to Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’ hereinafter), ‘processing’ means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. 

The following Data Protection Statement informs you about the type, extent, purpose, duration and legal basis for the processing of personal data insofar as we decide about the purposes and means of the processing alone or together with other parties. Additionally, we inform you about any third-party components used by us for optimisation purposes and usability enhancements insofar as this involves third parties processing data under their own responsibility.

II. Rights of users and data subjects


With a view to the data process described in more detail below, user and data subjects have the following rights:

  • the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, access to the personal data, and further information about the data processing as well as to copies of the data (cf. Article 15, GDPR);
  • the right to the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning him or her, and to have incomplete personal data completed (cf. Article 16, GDPR);
  • the right to the erasure of personal data concerning him or her without undue delay (cf. Article 17, GDPR) or alternatively, if continued processing is necessary based on Article 17(3) of the GDPR, the right to the restriction of processing under Article 18, GDPR;
  • the right to receive the personal data concerning him or her, which he or she has provided, and the right to transmit those data to another provider/controller (cf. Article 20, GDPR);
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if the data subject considers that the provider’s processing of personal data relating to him or her infringes the GDPR (cf. Article 77, GDPR).


In addition, the provider has a duty to notify all recipients to whom data were disclosed by the provider about any rectification or erasure of data or restriction of processing pursuant to Articles 16, 17(1), 18 of the GDPR. However, this duty does not apply if such notification is impossible or would require an unreasonable degree of effort. Notwithstanding, the user has a right to access information about these recipients.   

In addition, users and data subjects have the right to object to the future processing of personal data concerning them pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR insofar as such data are processed by the provider pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The right to object applies in particular where personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes.



III. Information about data processing


Your data processed during the use of our website are erased or made unavailable as soon as the purpose for the storage no longer applies; the erasure of the data is not prevented by legal retention requirements; or any provision hereinafter indicates otherwise with regard to individual processing methods.


Server data    
among other things, the type and version of your internet browser; the operating system; the website from which you navigated to our website (referrer URL); the page(s) on our website that you visited; date and time of each access; and the IP address of the internet connection from which you access our website.    

The data thus collected are stored temporarily, but not together with any other data concerning you.    

The data storage complies with the legal basis set forth in Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our website.    

Your data will be erased after seven days at the latest, provided that no longer storage is required for evidential purposes. Otherwise, some or all of the data will be excepted from erasure until an incident has been fully cleared up.


LinkedIn    
Our company maintains an online presence on LinkedIn for the purpose of presenting our company and our services and communication with customers or interested parties. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, a subsidiary of the LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA.    

In this regard, we point out the possibility that user data may be processed outside of the European Union, in particular in the USA. This may cause increased risks for users insofar as, for example, access to user data at a later time can be more difficult. Additionally, we do not have access to these user data. They can be accessed exclusively by LinkedIn.

General links to profiles at third-party providers 
On the website, the provider uses links to the following social networks.

The relevant legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest of the provider is the improvement and usability enhancement of the website.    
The plug-ins are integrated via linked graphics. Users will only be redirected to the respective social network if they click on the relevant graphic.

After the customer has been redirected, the respective network collects information about the user. Initially, these are data such as IP address, date, time, and pages visited. If during this time, the user is logged into his or her user account at the respective network, the network operator may be able to associate the collected information of the user's specific visit with the user’s personal account. If the user interacts by using a ‘Share’ button of the respective network, this information may be stored in the user’s personal user account and potentially published. If the user wishes to prevent the collected information from being directly associated with his or her user account, the user must log out prior to clicking on the graphic. In addition, the option exists to configure the relevant user account accordingly.

WiredMinds GmbH 
Our website uses the counter pixel technology by WiredMinds GmbH (www.wiredminds.de) for analysing visitor behaviour, which processes a visitor’s IP address. The processing is performed exclusively for the purpose of collecting company-relevant information, such as the company name. IP addresses of natural persons are excluded from further use (whitelist method). The IP address is never stored in LeadLab. With regard to the processing of data, we are particularly interested in safeguarding the data protection rights of natural persons. Our interest is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The data collected by us can never be used to identify specific individuals.    

WiredMinds GmbH uses this information for the creation of anonymous usage profiles based on the behaviour of users visiting our website. The data thus acquired are not used to learn the personal identify of visitors to our website.

Our website uses the lead generation service provided by Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, The Netherlands, which recognizes visits of companies to our website based on IP-addresses and shows us related publicly available information, such as company names or addresses. 

 

In addition, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies for providing transparency on how our visitors use our website and the tool processes domains from provided form inputs to correlate IP addresses with companies and to enhance its services.
